How BaptismStyles started
I'm a member of St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Christian Cathedral in Los Angeles, California. My aunt ran the bookstore at the Church for years.. A few years ago I noticed she was selling embroidered towels for baptisms. I wanted people to have a wider variety of personalization choices for cross designs, baptismal phrases, names, and dates at a lower cost than embroidery and that is how I started BaptismStyles my online store.
I personally hand-paint all items in the store. I'm an artist, I started painting oils at the age of seven. I'm also a mom, personal fitness trainer and small business owner. To give back to the church, BaptismStyles offers a discount to Orthodox and other Christian Church Bookstores. The Secret to my Success
My mom Bernadette was an amazing Dressmaker, Seamstress and Designer. For the past decade she was the creator of every custom baptism towel that was sold. I was blessed to have her as my mom. She passed away in 2022 at 93 and had been sewing our towels up until her passing. I'm now using her machine and tools of the trade. She is a true inspiration and I wanted to share her with you as she will always be part of BaptismStyles.
